Student Debt

Loans, private loans, parents money, and savings are all ways of getting money for school that can help one pay for college. What is always ignored or thrown by the waist side is the rules and understanding of private loans or student loans and what you are signing your name to. After you finish college and realize All the money you received during school now has to be paid back you think what and how are you going to do it kicks in. A semi freak out happens! Some graduates are struggling to find work, some have jobs and begin to budget.

I feel like School debt was not talked about four or five years ago when I was in school but I feel it is more open and in the headlines due to the economic crisis we are still in today.

On a fellow blog, doordebt
She had a great quote that said,

Debt keeps us isolated, ashamed, and afraid

We shouldn’t feel Isolated as I am sure your fellow grads and neighbor are dealing with the same struggles as you. Ashamed, yes one can feel ashamed for digging themselves into debt, whether it be from student debt or credit card debt, either way it’s something that has happened and there is always the moment you have to ask for help. No one is perfect and there is help out there, you just have to ask.
Being Afraid is a normal feeling and it just holds you back from seeing the real truth and knowing it will all be alright once you see you have debt. You must own what is yours no one else can.

If anyone has any insight or thoughts on student debt or cc debt I would like to hear from you!

  1. I like the mantra “no shame, no blame”. That’s the state when you can become truly aware of past “mistakes”, or simply just debt accrual. Then after awareness comes ownership. You know it’s yours, you know where it came from, now it’s time for you to know that you are better than it is. Don’t add any more shackles until you’ve freed yourself from these ones!
